Intercars car rental was established in Crete in 1985 and was known to the wider car rental world by its former name - Intercar. The company was rebranded as Intercars in 2011. The founder and CEO of the company, Vasilis Alatzoglou, laid the foundations of a strong and competitive car rental company by opening the first small office of the firm on Zografou Street, behind Daskalogiannis Square in Heraklion Crete. Today the company has its base in Kato Gouves and a branch office in Kokkini Hani. Furthermore, our customer service desk, that operates on a 24/7 basis, is located one minute away from the arrivals section of the Nikos Kazantzakis airport of Heraklion Crete (just right opposite to the airport).

Kato Gouves Village:
Intercars established a branch office at Vlychadas street in Kato Gouves village in 1992, opposite to the Pantheon Hotel, retaining the main office in Zografou street in the center of Heraklion as well. In 1996, as time went by and tourism was also on the rise, the CEO and founder of Intercars relocated the head office in Kato Gouves village.
By this professional and strategic move, our corporation recorded rising profits and established two more branch offices in Kato Gouves village (opposite Despo & Magda Hotels), where it started to become acknowledged not only by the multinational population that arrived in thousands every year in Crete but also by the wide tourism industry of our island. Under Maria’s (wife of Mr. V.Alatzoglou and co-founder) dynamic supervision, the company developed exceptional credibility.. Her ability to preserve every customer's mind trouble-free along with her capacity in detecting all customers' true needs according to their requests, kept the corporation high in standards and of course, in appeal.
Today Intercars car rental holds two main offices, one facing the other, in Kato Gouves Village at Vlychadas street A33, opposite to The GDM Island hotel reception. Our head office is the one housed under Despina Apartments.
Heraklion Airport:
The airport of Heraklion is the main pick up and drop off point and thus the source destination for numerous visitors of Crete due to its direct connection with a wide range of destinations from all over the world during the summer period. As the years progressed and the demands of our renters increased, Intercars car rental attained a collaboration with the municipality of Heraklion and gained its own parking and customer service point at the Nikos Kazantzakis airport of Heraklion. Since then, we can directly provide innovative services at Heraklion city/port, Alikarnassos and Karteros on a 24/7 basis.
Kokkini Chani:
The acquaintance with our customers started off from a small office opposite to the Rinela Hotel reception in 2014. The reliability of the company and Maria’s struggle, stood out and brought profits and prosperous days to the corporation. This development inspired the founder to relocate the office to a larger establishment towards the heart of Kokkini Hani village. In the present days the branch office is situated at Palaia Ethniki Odo – Agiou Nikolaou Irakliou next to Themis Beach Hotel at Kokkini Chani village.
Gournes:
Intercars car rental established its parking and maintenance facilities at Gournes village in 2000. Our location is 300 meters on foot from the Erato Hotel reception.
